Plumbing Service Manager – Now Hiring
Ulta Home Improvements is a high-end painting, flooring, tile, carpentry, and plumbing business located in Ashland, MA. As our plumbing department continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Plumbing Service Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and help grow this division.

This is a leadership and operations position, not a plumbing technician role. A plumbing license is not required.
Description of Duties:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the plumbing service department.
- Answer incoming service calls and convert inquiries into scheduled jobs.
- Schedule and dispatch technicians based on availability, skill level, job priority, and customer needs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer complaints, billing questions, and service issues.
- Monitor technician performance, job quality, customer satisfaction, and department KPIs.
- Communicate with technicians throughout the day regarding schedules, job updates, and changes.
- Track job costs, budgets, and department profitability.
- Ensure work complies with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and development of service technicians.
- Conduct regular team meetings and huddles to communicate expectations and review performance.
- Manage department administration, including paperwork, evaluations, expenses, and service agreements.
- Participate in and oversee the on-call and emergency scheduling rotation.
- Help develop and improve department processes, training programs, and customer service standards.
- Build and implement systems that support department growth and long-term scalability.
Skills and Requirements:
- 3–5 years of experience in the plumbing, heating, cooling, or residential service industry.
- Plumbing license is not required.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of plumbing service operations, codes, and safety requirements.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to effectively handle and de-escalate customer concerns.
- Comfortable using scheduling, dispatch, CRM, and work management software.
- Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must pass a background check.
